A-2-Sea Solutions Ltd awarded 3 to 5 year contract with the Maritime & Coastguard Agency’s Civil Hydrography Programme
Following a competitive tender period, A-2-Sea Solutions have been awarded the Lot 3 Routine Resurvey contract as part of the Civil Hydrography Programme (CHP), managed by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).
The Routine Resurvey requires the acquisition of high resolution multibeam bathymetry in dynamic, shallow water areas where changing seabed levels are significant for the safety of navigation. Once acquired and post processed to a high standard, the data will undergo rigorous quality assurance processes by the UKHO before being used to update the UK’s nautical charts and publications.
The contract award continues the momentum of development for the survey department and adds to a series of survey contracts and frameworks that have been awarded to A-2-Sea Solutions in 2018.
Ben Elliott, Survey Manager at A-2-Sea, comments on the contract award: “This contract award comes during an exciting period of growth for the survey department at A-2-Sea. It is testimony to the technical quality of our products and we look forward to creating a close relationship with the MCA over the next 3 to 5 years.”
